How to delete generic resources from the Resource Centre in Project Server 2010

1.      Navigate to PWA>Server Settings>Delete Enterprise Objects.

2.      Select the ‘Resources and Users’ radio button. This will provide you with a list of all users, both generic and named resources.
PLEASE NOTEI don’t recommend deleting named resources unless you can be assured they have not been assigned any tasks in the system as you will lose all data these users have under them in the system. If deleting a generic resource then always check through a report to see if that resource is being consumed on a project before deleting that resource. If they are being consumed then notify the project manager to swap out the resource with a more appropriate existing resource before performing these steps.

3.       Scroll down to the resource you are having an issue with. Click the check box for any corresponding resource you want to delete and click the delete button.
